1960s (?) White D/O Mushroom

Possibly a one-off piece or a trial, the weight is signed with an “SL” cane but has no date cane. The white-on-red double overlay encloses a mushroom, composed of closely-packed complex millefiori canes, many of which are centred by a cross of Lorraine. The colours - greens, blues, pinks & reds - are stronger than the somewhat pallid tones seen in early weights ca. 1953/54.
Cut with a circular top window and 5 side facets. Polished, concave base.
There is slight dis-colouration of the white overlay between the facets.
