A finely-detailed lampwork interpretation of this beautiful pink rose by Allan Scott, created to celebrate the 70thbirthday of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. A half open flower, one in full bloom and a tightly furled bud are borne on 3 stems together with dark-green leaves. Pale-pink/white millefiori canes frame the central design over a rich kingfisher colour ground. The distinctive handcut facetting - with a top and 18 concave side facets - enhances the piece. The outer edge of the flat, polished base is inscribed: The Queen Elizabeth Rose Caithness Scotland and numbered 2-100. Scratch-signed by designer Allan Scott.(Original certificate)
