The terracotta ground is divided by white, yellow & green twists into 5 panels filled with canes, some of which are complex. For instance, the first composite cane in each group consists of 16 orange & green rods around 8 blue & white florets with an orange tube and yellow star in the centre ! The outer 8-tooth cogs contain 10 miniature canes including 2 tiny copies of the bright orange centre cane. Flat, fire polished base, with lightly ground-out pontil.
