1977 Dressed Bouquet (Facetted)

An unusual honeycomb-facetted version of this dressed bouquet design. 7 yellow, blue, white and red flowers are nestled in dark-green leaves over a latticinio double spiral, encircled by a twisted pink & white torsade. In the regular spherical version of this weight, the double spiral and torsade - 2 important elements in the design - are hardly visible. (See the illustration in Gerard Ingold’s book “The Art of the Paperweight”) The facetting helps to give the attractive design its full impact.
Set at the centre of the yellow flower is an SL 1977 signature/date cane. Polished, concave base.
