Oleander - Ed. 100 (2004)
One of a series of designs - inspired by ancient medicinal plants - which Allan Scott created for the Whitefriars Collection at Caithness. Nerium Oleander was used in ancient Greece as an antidote for snake bites. The clear glass is set with 2 pale-pink/white flowers in full bloom, 3 tightly-furled buds, light-brown stalks and bluish-green variegated leaves. The weight is finished with a concave front and flat rear facet plus 5 notch-cuts of differing lengths.
The flat, polished base is scratch-numbered 50-100 and script-signed: Allan Scott.
