Floral Tribute - Ed. 40 (1992)
Floral Tribute - with lampwork by Allan Scott - was a small limited edition to commemorate the 40th year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The lampwork rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock - set over a layer of white latticinio - symbolize the national emblems of the countries of the United Kingdom. The single red overlay is cut with a circular top window and 6 large and 6 smaller oval side facets.
The polished, flat base is inscribed: Floral Tribute Caithness Scotland, numbered 3/40, and signed by the artist: Allan Scott.
(This design is not illustrated in the Charlton Standard Catalogue of Caithness Paperweights and should not be confused with the 1981 Colin Terris “Floral Tribute”).
