1979 Large Butterfly

A large butterfly composed of complex millefiori canes and set on a dark blue ground (appears black !).  Bundled pale-blue tubes make up the insect’s body.  Composite pink/blue canes in the outstretched wings produce an overall mauve tonality, offset by the white/pink edging and similarly-coloured eyespots.  The weight is finished with a large, circular top window and 5 side facets.
