Patterned with “Rays”
A meticulous set-up on a pale-blue & white jasper ground. 6 green & orange "rays" - enhanced with aventurine - radiate out from a large, complex pink & white millefiori centre cane. Between them are dark-blue, white & pink complex canes. Alternating garland with canes in shades of amber, orange, yellow, pale-green and white.
The dome has a faint purplish tint - possibly pre-1940 Moncrieff. The slightly-concave base has an unfinished pontil mark.
(See page 137 in Colin Mahoney’s book “Masterworks: The Paperweights of Paul Ysart” for an identical design)
