Butterfly on Radial Twists (PY Cane)

Set on 2 different types of radial latticinio twists over a translucent peach colour ground is a red aventurine-bodied butterfly with a green head, black antennae and outstretched composite cane wings. The upper wings are bright-pink & white with an intricate centre; the lower wings are ruby, white & blue.
7 purple & white canes form a spaced garland around the perimeter. The cane directly below the butterfly is blue & white - and contains a tiny PY signature cane. Fire polished base with a wide basal rim and a polished central concavity. (Harland period, early 1970s)
