1979 The Partridge in a Pear Tree- Ltd. Ed.

Probably the most popular of the Whitefriars Christmas weights, the design was inspired by the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas” - a “Partridge in a Pear Tree” being the gift on the first day! It is centred by mosaic pictures of a partridge and 6 pears set amongst leaf-shaped canes made of fine green rods. Encircling the design is a garland of complex blue & white millefiori canes. Opaque black ground. 5 + 1 facetting.
A 1979 signature/date cane is set inside the garland.  Scratch-numbered on the opaque black base: 220. Bears original factory label.
