1978 P25 Variation
A striking colour combination, a meticulous set up and a rare variation of the Paperweights within a Paperweight pattern P25 ! Usually there are 7 miniature concentrics in the centre. This unusual variation has just 3 miniature concentrics surrounded by 2 multi-cane rings (pink & ivory) and an outer garland of pale-blue/pale-green honeycomb canes.
A blue/white 1978 signature/date cane is integrated in the row of pink canes. Cut with a circular top window and 5 concave side facets. Typical Whitefriars concave base.
(See Page14 of “Whitefriars Paperweights - Collectors Guide” compiled by Brian Slingsby and Judy Taylor issued by the Northern Paperweight Society).
