A design first produced by St Louis in the 19th Century: a marbrie with a gilded salamander lying coiled around the top of the opaque white ground with its cobalt-blue swags.
There is no signature or date cane; the weight is script-signed, dated and numbered on the polished, concave base: Saint Louis 1994 115/150.
