The Hedgerow series - 3 limited editions of flowers designed by Peter Holmes - allowed him to introduce lampwork into the predominantly abstract range of paperweights. The wild rose has 5 pale-pink petals fading to white at the edges, set around a pink & white cog stamen. Alongside the flower are 2 deeper pink buds about to unfurl. The short, curved stem bears green leaves. Scratch-signednumbered and dated: SGS (Selkirk Glass, Scotland) 47/500 1999 above the basal rim of the polished, concave base. (Original certificate)
