The large millefiori group in the centre is composed of a multi-coloured complex cane encircled by a ring of brownish-orange cruciform canes, a ring of 6 twists and a further ring of pale-green, white & slate-blue cog canes. 4 additional concentric rows of blue & white and amber & white cog canes are divided by 12 short twists outlining 6 triangles filled with pale-green canes. The design is set on a translucent mottled amethyst ground with a P1981 signature/date cane on the underside in the polished, concave base.
