PP121 Ed. 500 (1989)

It took 5,000 individual glass rods to produce the head and “cheeky” little face of the marmalade cat, the picture cane at the centre of this design, which is set on a semi-translucent, mottle blood-orange ground. The face is set in a circlet of pink crimps, surrounded by a ring of blue, white & light-brown complex canes and 3 pairs of large spaced canes. The pale-orange & green border garland forms 3 closed loops and 3 semi-circles around the 6 large complex canes on the perimeter.
The weight is signed with a “P” in a circle of canes in the polished, concave base.
