This is No. 7 in the series of hollow-blown weights made by Perthshire starting with the Swan in 1973. An American bald eagle - with a bright yellow beak - is perched on a rocky mound; his eyes scanning the surrounding territory for prey. The pale-cranberry flash-overlay is cut with a large circular top window, 8 oval and 8 round side facets.
A P1987 signature/date cane is set in the polished, concave base.
Planned as an edition of 300, only 198 were, in fact, issued.
