1974E Double Overlay - Ed. 300

Closepacked complex millefiori in a purple-on-white double overlay. This was the first double overlay that Perthshire produced. The weight is cut with a top facet and 16 side facets arranged in 2 rows. A P1974 signature/date cane is set amongst the colourful millefiori.
Provenance: Acquired by the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum in Neenah, Wisconsin in 1974 this weight still bears its original accession number. As part of a scheme to raise funds for new purchases, the museum is allowed - under certain circumstances - to sell duplicates in the collection, such as this one.
