Chrysanthemum Carpet 1/1 (2011)

Aquamarine & white are the predominant colours in this carpet-ground. Centred by a small black & white butterfly silhouette, the canes - graded from small in the centre to large around the perimeter - are filled with amber, pale-green & white rods. (Although in the picture the colour of the canes appears bluish, they are, in fact, aquamarine!) 10 stylized white flowerheads are spaced within the design, which is set on a translucent green cushion over white star staves.
An MH signature cane is embedded in the flat, polished base, which is scratch-signed: M. Hunter Twists 11 1/1 - and inscribed “Chrysanthemum Carpet”.
