A ring of 5 small swallowtail butterfly silhouettes and a second ring of larger butterflies silhouettes are complemented by complex millefiori canes in blue, white, pink, purple, olive-green, bright-green & red. The canes are arranged on a translucent cranberry cushion over a bed of white star staves. A complex signature cane with a clown’s face surrounded by MH/AH canes acknowledges son Arran’s contribution in making some of the canes. The base is also scratch-signed: M Hunter Twists 10 1/1 and inscribed “Butterfly Circles”. This weight is illustrated in the "Contemporary Showcase" on page 66 of the 2011 PCA Bulletin.
