In this 1984 design, Peter set a deep-purple (almost black) pansy, bud and green leaves over a basket of fine purple & white spiraling latticinio rods to create visual depth - an effect that his mentor Paul Ysart had used in many of his designs. On the underside of the pansy is a PH signature cane.
The weight is cut with a circular top window and 5 small round side facets. Scratch-signed around the pontil mark: Selkirk Glass Scotland 61/100 1984 Peter Holmes
