Milano Flask - Ed. 50 (1993)

Not a paperweight, but a perfume bottle by one of the leading designers & paperweight-makers at Caithness Alistair MacIntosh. The inner bottle - in the palest blue - is decorated with swirling white, red & pale-green latticinio threads, which meet on the underside. This is then encased in a second layer of frosted glass which rises to a flared neck. The bottle is cut with 12 circular facets arranged in 2 rows. The clear, ground-glass stopper is decorated with a 6-row honeycomb cut.
The flat, polished base is scratch-signed and numbered: Milano Flask Caithness Scotland 46/50.
