Red Spiny Cactus (2009)

Flowering between rocks and smooth stones in an arid desert setting are spiny and prickly pear cacti, bearing bright-red, deep-mauve and a couple of small, pale-blue blooms with upright yellow pistils. Another highly-detailed work reflecting the desert landscapes of the artists’s homeland.
