A mystery weight of unknown origin in fine heavy crystal. The whole and partial millefiori canes indicate the work of a skilled glassmaker. The colour palette is bright: candy-pink, lime-green, peach, yellow, blue and white with a sprinkling of copper aventurine. A centre bubble rises “on a stalk”; 6 other bubbles are spaced around the periphery.
The base is fire-polished with a partially-ground, roughly-finished pontil.
(An article in the April 2006 PCC Newsletter (No. 90) page 7, describes a 3-row concentric with exactly the same type of canes and use of colour).
