In the centre of this small millefiori weight - most likely produced in Thuringia - is a fortress cane surrounded by 13 similar, but smaller versions - in strong yellowish/orange and red colouring. The other 3 types of canes have the typical 5-lobed design found in German weights. The canes are set on a polychrome spatter base. The glass has a distinct grey tint. Lightly ground, flat base.
