Concentric with Silhouette

Red-lined white crimp staves enclose 5 rows of complex millefiori canes and crimps centred by a black dancing devil silhouette. The glassmakers at St. Louis certainly knew how to use subtle colours schemes to achieve maximum effect. Here cobalt-blue & green florets have been placed next to pale-pink & pale-blue followed by amber, cobalt-blue, white & pink and again pale-pink - this time combined with white bull’s eye canes. The silhouette is encircled by wispy white crimps with a red centre. A well-centred design with a neat set-up.
Polished, concave base with a couple of scratches. (In the base, a couple of the staves are too short - which has resulted in the porthole being off-centre).
