Footed Inkwell

Attributed to Arculus, the base of the inkwell has millefiori canes set around a blue/white 16-toothed cog cane with a red/white cross at its centre. The coloured millefiori cogs in the 4 concentric rows are lime-green, white with pale blue lining, blue/white and pink/white. The base is nipped in to form a recessed foot.
The slightly-ridged basal rim is ca. 10 mm wide, and the pontil has been ground out to a polished concavity. At one point on the bottom of the bowl is what, at first glance, looks like a crack, but is, in fact, a groove left from the manufacturing process.
The stopper displays pink canes, the blue-lined white cogs with a cross in the centre and blue/white cogs in the centre.
