A letter seal from an unidentified glassworks in either Bohemia or Silesia. The clear glass knop is intricately-faceted and set with 6 millefiori canes - including an unusual rose cane,2 red trefoils surrounded by arrow canes, 2 cruciform canes and one possibly representing a stylized flower - around a large blue-and-white centre cane. Spiralling red & blue filigree and latticinio rods fill the tapering, hexagonally-faceted shaft. The milled foot bears the initials “ME” in copperplate script.
