A meticulously set 2-ring spaced concentric with 3 types of complex millefiori canes on a clear ground from the Friedrich Egermann workshop in Haida (North Bohemia). The 8-toothed red/white cog in the centre is filled with 7 tiny complex canes (pink, blue, green around a white stardust cluster). See “Classic Paperweights from Silesia/Bohemia” by Peter von Brackel, page 215 for similar examples.This red/white cog is repeated in the 19-cane perimeter ring. Some of the cogs contain 6 - others 7 - complex canes around the white stardust cluster. Surrounding the centre, 6 translucent blue canes - each filled with 8 or 9 canes (pink tubes around white rods) alternate with 6 white collars enclosing ca 40/50 tiny white tubes and rods. Polished, concave base with a wide basal rim. The glass has a slight greyish-blue tint.
