Closepack on Pale-blue Jasper

A good variety of simple and some extremely intricate millefiori canes - with only a couple of repeats - on a pale-blue jasper ground. (The glass has a purplish-grey tint - probably post-war Moncrieff period 1940/50s).
The fire-polished base is slightly concave with a rough pontil.
(Due to a large bruise on the edge of the basal rim the weight has been re-polished. Fortunately the damage was limited to this area and did not affect the rest of the weight or the jasper cushion).
