A lampwork flower with rounded, blue petals and a complex millefiori stamen. Around the flower are the tips of green leaves with 3 more leaves on the curving stem. The continuous border garland contains 3 types of multi-coloured, complex millefiori canes in shades of pale-orange, white & amethyst. The ground is translucent pale-amber.
Flat, polished base. Judging by the style of canes - and the base colour - the paperweight must have been made during the Caithness period i.e. the 1960s.
(For a similar example (with a pink flower) see page 64 in Colin Mahoney’s book “Masterworks: the Paperweights of Paul Ysart”).
