1970 Red Dahlia (Ed. 800)

A beautiful glowing-red dahlia centred by a pale-lemon & white SL 1970 signature/date cane. One of the first Annual Limited Edition weights issued by St. Louis, it was produced in 3 colours - blue, pistachio and red. It ‘s not known how many were made of each colour - but red certainly seems to be the most difficult to find ! The flower has 6 layers of pointed petals, and the overall effect is certainly eye-catching!
The weight has a large, circular top window and 6 side facets. The base is polished and has a narrow basal rim.
