Peter McDougall began his career in glass at Strathearn and later became manager and chief glassmaker at Perthshire Paperweights. He set up PMcD Glass Studio Ltd. in Crieff, Scotland in 2002 and introduced a few General Range weights with some extremely complex millefiori canes. Over the years, new designs were added and the General Range extended. In addition, each year he issued a Collection of small limited edition weights and a number of highly sought-after one-off pieces. His PMcD signature-cane is usually either placed within the design or embedded in the base. At the end of 2011 - after a life spent working with glass - Peter decided to take early retirement and the PMcD Glass Studio was closed down.
