Mike Hunter of Twists Glass Studios is currently one of Britain’s leading art glass designers and makers. After working in hot glass in industry for more than 25 years, in 1997 he set up his own studio in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders region. He incorporates his beautiful and colourful “twists” - and more recently his complex millefiori canes - into wine glasses, plates, vases... and paperweights. His more recent paperweights are all one-of-a-kind pieces with an “MH” signature cane and are scratch-signed and dated on the base.
