A one-off design by Margot Thomson in an unusual slender, tapering form. From the base - a vortex of purple and cranberry, topped with glistening bubbles - the design ascends via elongated mercury-like bubbles into a profusion of translucent purple and cranberry streamers, which swirl upwards to the top of the weight. The front facet is polished; the back and sides have a satin finish.
The polished, round base is inscribed: Caithness Glass Raspberry Ripple Series #2 No 1/1. Scratch-signed: Margot G. Thomson and dated 1990. (Original certificate)
