A striking design, described by the artist Alastair MacIntosh as “A clever illusion created by skilful facetting”. The frosted, aquamarine-flashed, spherical weight has 2 polished facets, like 2 eyes - cut at an angle to each other - providing a view of the interior. Suspended above an aquamarine base - studded with thousands of tiny air bubbles - is a scarlet filigree net containing a pointed silvered bubble.
The polished flat base is scratch inscribed: Double Vision Caithness Scotland 16-50.
