The colours used by the maker of this 2-row concentric - especially the dark-green/yellow canes in the first row - point to a Thuringian attribution. The canes in the outer row are complex and well made. Pairs of blue-sheathed white corrugated canes filled with blue, white and yellow 5-pointed stars alternate with white corrugated canes containing blue rods, a white collar and a pink/white centre rod.
The sides slope steeply from the relatively flat-topped weight to the small, lightly-ground flat base. There is some slight roughness where the pontil mark was ground away.
