17 complex blue, white and pink cluster canes - each one consisting of ca. 40 crimps, cogs, ruffles and stars - surround a large, ruby-lined white floret in a collar. Although some people consider the “heart” shape to be a fault - i.e. slipped canes - the fact that 5 extra canes round out the first row would seem to refute the argument! They must have been added before the pick-up to produce the desired shape - a heart ! The other 4 rows follow the same design albeit in a less pronounced fashion.
The outer row of blue-lined white cogs are drawn underneath to meet in a small circle in the centre of the concave base with its wide basal rim.
