The unusual feature of this post-classic millefiori weight - probably of North Bohemian origin - are the sparkling mica flakes, which form a cushion in the clear glass. 2 rows of millefiori canes surround a 12-toothed white cog cane lined with blue and filled with a red star on white. The canes in the outer row - 5-lobed blue and white stars and white cogs with blue star centres - are sheathed in translucent ruby and aquamarine.
The base is ground flat and lightly polished - now showing signs of wear.
