Spaced around a cushion of pure white upset muslin are 19 typical Baccarat canes including 4 different types of arrow canes. A rarely-seen daisy flower-cane and 10 Gridel silhouettes are evenly distributed around the central complex cane which contains the first silhouette: a colourful butterfly. The other silhouettes around the centre are a black dog, a goat, a monkey and horse and nearer the perimeter a black elephant, a stag, a rooster, a white pheasant on 2 shamrocks and a white dove on a blue ground. A red/blue/green B1848 signature/date cane is placed between 2 arrow canes.
Relatively broad basal rim around a polished concave base.
