Terms & Conditions (as of 08/2011)
Buying from this site is straightforward, involves no risk and - in no time - you can be the proud owner of a beautiful paperweight or any of the other items we sell. Please read the following conditions:
1. Should you find one or more paperweights - or other items - that you wish to purchase, note down the stock number and contact us either by phone, fax or email, or use our "shopping cart" facility (see Order Transaction). In placing an order in the online shop you are entering into a legally-binding contract to purchase the product(s).
2. After payment has been received - and, in the case of cheques, has cleared - your order will be shipped, either insured or uninsured; the choice is up to you. (We, of course, cannot be held responsible for uninsured postal losses). You just pay the postage (see Payment & Shipping).
On the ADD TO CART page, data stored in the system calculates the most reasonable shipping costs to just about anywhere in the world. Using the Currency Converter (top right) prices can be converted from Euros to US $.
Please inform us within the 10 day period whether you wish to buy the reserved item or not. The “Reserved” status will automatically be revoked after 10 days and the paperweight will revert to “Available”.
Should you wish to purchase the paperweight, but feel that it would currently “overstretch” your budget, we offer a lay-away service (putting the item aside) for a month or so, on the understanding that you have entered into a legally-binding contract to purchase the weight at a later date. In this case, the item will be de-activated and removed from the website.
This measure is to avoid the problem of a weight being “reserved” for a long period when other customers have expressed an interest in buying it. Our “lay-away” service is available free-of-charge to collectors we have dealt with previously and also to new customers, although in their case we would request a 30% down-payment.
4. All statements made on these pages with reference to condition, attribution, etc. are correct to the best of our knowledge; sizes are approximate. If a correct attribution is not 100% possible, this fact will be made quite clear
6. If an article has been grossly misrepresented in our description - or it is not in the condition as described in the text - you have 2 weeks to either return it or exchange it. All you have to pay is the cost of the return shipment; the price of the weight will be refunded. We regret we cannot accept returns on custom-made or personalized articles, as these would be difficult to sell to anyone else.
These conditions apply to all international sales.
