Daniel Salazar is the chief glass artist at Lundberg Studios in California, having originally started his apprenticeship there in the mid 70s. The studios developed from James Lundberg’s desire to work with glass and discover new, innovative techniques. From modest beginnings, Lundberg Studios went on to create the “California Style” paperweight, a cross between surface-decorated techniques and French style lampwork, and to open the door to a new generation of glass artists - Steven Lundberg, David Salazar and Chris Buzzini, to name just a few. Weights are normally signed, dated and numbered. Most of Daniel’s weights also have a D.S. monogram on the underside of the colour ground.
