David Graeber was born in New Jersey - an area with a long tradition in glassmaking. However, after obtaining a Fine Arts degree, he first started to express his creativity in graphic art and woodworking. It was only in 1989 when he became Paul Stankard’s assistant that he discovered the fascination of glass! Flame-working enabled him to express his true passion and to capture the beauty of nature forever.... in a paperweight, for example. For some years, David was a member of the team of artists working in the Stankard Studio; in the meantime he has set up his own studio. His paperweights are signed and dated and contain a DG signature cane.
